Hello! My name is Sarah – a book, caffeine, and travel enthusiast! For as long as I can remember, two things that have alway brought me inner peace were books and traveling to new places. As I have gotten older, and entered a professional career (not involving either of these things), my love and appreciation for them has grown exponentially. I think some of the best ways to become a well-rounded, educated, and compassionate person is through reading different ideas/concepts and reaching out of your local bubble by seeing the world. Collectively, these experiences naturally challenge the way you see the world and your place in it. While that can be heavy, I hope to share this point of view in both a fun and entertaining way!
A few things about me first!
📚 I read books from a wide array of genres, but primarily fantasy and horror (at least, that’s what my recent stats say anyway)! The genre I read least is romance. A lot of the books I read tend to have a romance storyline involved, but it’s never usually the sole focus of the book.
📖 My favorite books are The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux and Frankenstein by Mary Shelly.
🎨 When I am not at work (or reading), I love to partake in crafty activities like coloring/drawing, playing my flute, and going to the theater.
🏡 My favorite time is when I get to relax at home with my fiance and sassy pup, Dixie
👻 I love ghosts and all things spooky (fall and Halloween are my favorite time of year)! Even during the summer, my house is decorated with many little ghosts.
🎶 I love music! You can usually find me listening to classical music, movie and video game scores, and instrumental covers.

Now, for what expect in this blog.
The main focus of my blog posts pertain to literature; specifically highlighting books I read every month and discussions over certain books, authors, and thoughts I have. I’ll share my thoughts on books I loved and even ones I don’t love. However, just because I don’t personally like a book, doesn’t me I think no one should read it. It might not be my cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean that someone else out there would not enjoy it.
As I also described above, I will be sharing posts whenever I travel. I don’t travel all the time (even though I wish I could), but I want to highlight these places and share any good coffee, food, or bookshops I find along the way!
Lastly, any projects I am working on will be shared and frequently updated through this blog! This includes any personal writing or collaborations.
With all of that said, welcome! I am excited to share these passions with you and the world, and I’m hoping I can inspire people to read more books and be adventurous! 🖤
